Tiruchirapally, Tamil Nadu: The Sri Ranganathaswamy temple, in Srirangam, is an ancient Hindu temple that is dedicated to deity Vishnu. Here a tourist on the temple’s top, on the background of one of the main gopurams (temple’s gateways), with a series of other gopurams, between which one can notice the golden vimana, on the left, in the distance. This is the enlargement of a part of the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
