Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu: A view of the bell tower of the Thanjavur Palace. It is located near the Brihadishvara temple, within the big fort (Periya Kottai) complex. It was erected in the 17th century by the last king of the Thanjai Nayak dynasty. This is the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
