Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu: A view of the Thanjavur Palace, with its bell tower in foreground. It is located near the Brihadishvara temple, within the big fort (Periya Kottai) complex. It was erected in the 17th century by the last king of the Thanjai Nayak dynasty. This is the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
