Monti Aurunci Natural Park: A wasps’ nest in foreground. These are social wasps, that are constructing a paper nest, which interior is arranged in a honeycombed pattern. They have an intense black and yellow coloration. The photo has been taken on the wood awning at the entrance of the botanic garden located in the Sant’Arcangelo forest, in the North of the park.
