A little bronze African elephant

Description

The original little bronze statue dates back to the sixties of the last century. It come (probably) from Burkina Faso or (perhaps) from Mali. It represents a quite stylized elephant, with large ears, a partially bended trunk, and long, rather asymmetric, fangs. One can moreover distinguish a large round eye. The photo is taken with a macro, and it is in a monochromatic version that aims to accentuate the stylization. The little statue is on a white background and the small piece of coral under one of the elephant’s paws gives back the idea of the dimensions, too, since it measures a few millimeters (March, 2018).
