Castel di Tora: A panoramic view of a part of the Turano lake

Castel di Tora, near to the boundary between Lazio and Abruzzo, in the province of Rieti: A panoramic view of a beautiful natural landscape with green mountains that surround a lake (the Turano lake) with many coves and large shores. In fact, there is a great dam that controls the water level. One can notice a bridge and a strip of sand, which colour contrast with the turquoise flat water. Castel di Tora is the small town that one can see in the distance. The photo is taken in the afternoon of a sunny summer day (August, 2012).
