Giannutri, Argentario: A cavern onto the sea

Giannutri is an island near the promontory of Argentario, in the province of Grosseto, in Toscana. Among the island’s landmarks are the Grottoni (the big caverns). This is a view of the high rocky coast in the region where they are located that indeed shows a cavern onto the sea, together with other openings into the rock wall. The photo captures a small rock submerged into the blue of the calm sea, and some typical vegetation in foreground, too (July, 2012).
