Description

Rome, piazza della Repubblica: A view of the east side of piazza della Repubblica (Repubblica square): a part of the fountain of the Naiads by Mario Rutelli, on the background of the façade of the church of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri (originally belonging to the baths of Diocleziano, designed by Michelangelo). In the center of the fountain is a Greek sea god. It was a sunny day and the water was flowing. Here the foreground of one of the nymphs (the Nymph of the Oceans, with her horse which symbolizes the sea) and of the central statue (April, 2011).
