Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu: The Krishna Mandapam is a typical rock-cut temple, that is dedicated to deity Varaha. Here a beautiful bas relief on a panel in its interior. It represents Varaha that lifts Bhu Devi, the mother earth. This is the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
