Mahabalipuram, 1996: A view of the beach with wood canoes and working people.

Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu: A view in the distance of the beach towards the Indian Ocean, with some bricklayers who are working at a construction just at the beginning of the large sand surface, and some typical small boats (wood canoes) near the shore. The sea appears very calm, but there are foaming waves that break themselves onto the shore anyway. There are two different palm trees in foreground and a small tree that is tilted by the wind on the beach. This is the enlargement of part of the scan of a slide taken in July-August, 1996.
