Kalahari: A mirage

In the Kalahari desert, in the draught period, the fire may set on spontaneously. This is a characteristic landscape after the passage of fire, with the optical illusion of a water expanse near the horizon. It was the Botswana part of the reserve, by arriving from Maun. This is the scan of a slide taken by a Nikon (Kalahari, 2006).
